Gun Violence in the City of York, Pennsylvania: A Peer City Comparison

In March 2020, Better York and the York County Community Foundation commissioned the Arthur J. Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy to conduct research related to gun violence in the City of York. This report presents the findings of that research which addresses identification of reliable data sourcing for gun violence metrics across the United States, identification of reliable data sourcing for homicide metrics across the United States, and comparison of a peer city group, encompassing 20 cities, with a baseline of the City of York.
